Base Lithium Compounds

Lithium Carbonate – Battery Grade (Li₂CO₃)

Lithium Carbonate (Li₂CO₃) is a high-purity lithium compound used as a primary cathode precursor for lithium-ion batteries. It is essential for the production of LFP and certain NMC cathode materials.

Key Details:
Chemical Formula: Li₂CO₃
Appearance: White, fine crystalline powder
Purity: ≥99.5–99.9% (Battery Grade)
Melting Point: 723°C
Solubility: Slightly soluble in water; insoluble in alcohol

Applications:
• Cathode precursor for LFP and NMC batteries
• EV, ESS, and electronics battery production
• Glass & ceramics manufacturing
• Lithium salt synthesis

Safety Note: Store in a dry area away from moisture; avoid dust inhalation.

Lithium Hydroxide Monohydrate – Battery Grade (LiOH·H₂O)

Lithium Hydroxide Monohydrate (LiOH·H₂O) is a highly reactive lithium compound primarily used to manufacture high-nickel cathode materials such as NMC 811 and NCA.

Key Details:
Chemical Formula: LiOH·H₂O
Appearance: White crystalline granules or powder
Purity: ≥56.5% LiOH (Battery Grade)
Melting Point: 72°C (decomposes)
Solubility: Freely soluble in water and alcohol

Applications:
• Precursor for high-nickel cathodes (NMC 622, NMC 811, NCA)
• Fast-charging and high-energy battery systems
• Greases, ceramics, and specialty lithium compounds

Safety Note: Strongly alkaline; avoid contact with skin or eyes; store away from CO₂ and moisture.
